Location
Osaka City is located approximately in the center of Japan and is the hub of the
Kansai region. Many rivers, both wide and narrow, zigzag through the city
appropriately known as "the water capital."
The Shinkansen (bullet train) connects Osaka with Tokyo in only 2.5 hours,
transporting 500 million travelers each year.
Kansai Region
The Kansai region, with Osaka at its center, consists of 6 prefectures and
extends in more than a 60mile (100km) radius. 20.9 million people live in this
region. Kobe, Kyoto and Nara three of Japan's other major cities are quickly
accessible by train or car in 90 minutes or less.
Kansai International Airport (KIX) is located at the edge of Osaka and has
become a major hub for flying passengers and cargo in and out of the Kansai
region. KIX prides itself to be the only 24-hour airport in Japan.

Osaka in 1948, was the first company in the world to make instant noodles and
is the oldest and largest manufacturerer of instant food in Japan. The world's
