Our Mission: The City of Osaka, Chicago Office serves North America promoting business, tourism, cultural, and educational exchanges between North America and Osaka, Japan.

Originally established in 1958 to promote business exchanges between North America and Osaka, Japan; the duties have expanded to include cultural and educational exchanges as well. In 1973, Chicago and Osaka signed a sister cities agreement, and in 2003 celebrates the 30th anniversary of this event.
