International Trade Fairs in Osaka
The Osaka International Trade Fair Commission (OITFC) presently sponsors ten diferent trade fairs in order to meet the needs of the present era. Some of them are widely recognized as Asia's representative trade shows in their respective fields, such as OTEMAS (Osaka International Textile Machinery Show) and New Earth (Global Environment Technology Show). Business people and consumers from all parts of the world take part in these shows. This clearly shows that Osaka is exactly what it claims to be: "an International Visitor Friendly City."

Osaka Collection
The Osaka Collection was launched in 1987 with the goal of acting as a starting point for budding fasion designers who wish to pursue their dreams of becoming top-rate designers. It began with the cooperation of the City of Osaka and financial circles in Osaka. Visitors can enjoy stunning collections by new designers from both Japan and abroad, as well as up-and-coming designers and well-established designers from Osaka.

International Design Festival, Osaka
Based on the theme "Design for Every Being", the International Design Festival, Osaka is made up of three key events: The International Design Competition, the International Design Awards and the International Exhibition. The first festival was held in 1983 and has been an annual event ever since. Through the International Design Festival, Osaka has not only become a city of international exhcnage for fashion designers, but also a significant contributor to the development of the global fashion and designing industries as well.
